D.A.R.E <br />By: Shawn Rauch <br />Drugs, alcohol and tobacco affect every organ in your body. <br />There is more tar in marijuana than in tobacco smoke and makes it <br />more dangerous than most people think. Marijuana users have increased <br />cancer risk, Marijuana affects your brain and body. Examples are short - <br />term memory loss, reduced ability to concentrate, slowed coordination and <br />reflexes. <br />Alcohol slows the brain and body in the following ways: <br />o Loss of coordination <br />o Slow reflexes <br />o Loss of self control <br />o Poor judgment <br />o Memory lapses <br />o Slurred speech. <br />If someone has too much alcohol, it can lead to coma and /or death. <br />There are 200 known poisons in cigarettes. In an average year, <br />400,000 Americans die from smoking. Smoking causes breathing problems <br />and is very addictive. It can be very hard to stop smoking once you start. <br />By using this knowledge I will never smoke marijuana and4Ort <br />cigarettes and I will not use alcohol. <br />
