He announced the corresponding tax rate. He also noted that <br />70 the levy, if authorized this evening, represents a maximum, meaning it can be decreased but not <br />71 increased for final passage in December of this year. <br />72 <br />73 Council Member O'Donnell moved to approve Resolution No. 12 -91, as presented. Council Member <br />74 Roeser seconded the motion. Motion carried on a unanimous voice vote. <br />75 <br />76 2B, Resolution No. 12 -92, Setting the 2013 Budget /Tax Levy Public Hearing Date — Finance <br />77 Director Rolek explained that the resolution sets the city's required public hearing. All cities over <br />78 population 500 must hold such a hearing to receive comments. He noted the proposed hearing date <br />79 and time. <br />80 <br />81 Council Member Roeser moved to approve Resolution No. 12 -92 as presented. Council Member <br />82 O'Donnell seconded the motion. Motion carried on a unanimous voice vote. <br />83 <br />84 2C, Resolution No. 12 -93, Canceling the 2012/2013 Debt Service Tax Levy for G.O. Tax <br />85 Increment Financing Bond Series 2007A — Finance Director Rolek explained that the resolution <br />86 cancels a debt service levy for a certain bond series. At the time that the bonds were issued, an <br />87 annual debt service levy was established and is intended to be reviewed each year to see if alternative <br />88 resources are available for the debt service. Staff is recommending that the levy be canceled for year <br />89 2012/2013. <br />90 • <br />2 <br />
