CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION
DRAFT
October 22, 2012
90
91 Council Member Stoesz explained that in visiting and learning about the site, he
• 92 understands now that it isn't suitable for building and will no doubt remain as a
93 conservation area and that fact should be factored into the damages questions.
94
95 Council Member Rafferty noted that he sees some impact on damages as far as where the
96 access is located. When Mr. Grochala calculated the difference in proposed damages
97 based on the reduction of square footage through the access point, the impact was
98 somewhat minimal.
99
100 The council discussed the easement allowing access across the bridge that was never filed
101 and whether it sets some type of precedent as far as the value of access.
102
103 The council directed staff to prepare figures and establish land value and damages based
104 on a percentage reduction caused by a new and shorter access location?
105
106 The meeting was adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
107
108 These minutes were considered, corrected and approved at the regular Council meeting held on
109 November 13, 2012.
110
111
112
•113
114 Julianne Bartell, City Clerk Jeff Reinert, Mayor
115
•
3
