COUNCIL MINUTES November 13, 2012 <br />DRAFT <br />1 CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />z MINUTES <br />5 DATE : November 13, 2012 <br />6 TIME STARTED : 6:35 p.m. <br />7 TIME ENDED : 7:15 p.m. <br />8 MEMBERS PRESENT : Council Member Stoesz, O'Donnell, Rafferty, <br />9 Roeser, and Mayor Reinert <br />10 MEMBERS ABSENT <br />11 <br />12 Staff members present: City Administrator Jeff Karlson; Community Development Director Michael <br />13 Grochala; Chief of Police John Swenson; and City Clerk Julie Bartell <br />14 <br />15 PUBLIC COMMENT <br />16 <br />17 Bruce Hanson, Surfside Seaplane Services, 6980 Lake Drive, addressed the council regarding a <br />18 problem with lake weeds. The weeds make it difficult for planes to use the lake and that is impacting <br />19 his business in a negative way. He provided the council with written information. Mayor Reinert <br />20 noted that the lakes in the city are very shallow and he too has experienced problems with weeds. He <br />21 will be happy to visit with Mr. Hanson to share information he's obtained. In addition the council <br />22 will discuss the problem at their next work session. <br />23 <br />. <br />24 SETTING THE AGENDA <br />25 <br />26 The agenda was approved as presented. <br />27 <br />28 SPECIAL PRESENTATION <br />29 <br />30 Police Chief John Swenson and Mayor Reinert presented Michael Wheeler with the Lino Lakes <br />31 Police Department Citizens Award. Mr. Wheeler was honored for providing assistance to his young <br />32 brother who was attacked by bees. <br />33 <br />34 CONSENT AGENDA <br />35 <br />36 Council Member Roeser moved to approve the Consent Agenda, Items 1A through 1G, as presented. <br />37 Council Member Rafferty seconded the motion. Motion carried on a unanimous voice vote. <br />38 <br />39 ITEM ACTION <br />40 <br />41 Consideration of Expenditures: <br />42 <br />43 November 13, 2012 (Check No. 94502 - <br />44 94630, $397,167.72) Approved <br />45 <br />1 <br />
