LINO LAKES CITY COUNCIL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 05 -15 <br />APPROVING A DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT WITH THE YMCA <br />WHEREAS, The YMCA has proposed to partner with the City of Lino Lakes to build a <br />facility in the downtown development Legacy at Woods Edge; and <br />WHEREAS, on March 8, 1999 the City passed a resolution endorsing the financial <br />support for the construction of the YMCA to include $1.5 million for construction costs, <br />6.7 acres of land, and infrastructure to the site; and <br />WHEREAS, The YMCA has determined it will provide benefits to Lino Lakes residents, <br />including reduced membership fees for five years and a teen center, and; <br />WHEREAS, the YMCA fits into the overall objectives of the Comprehensive Plan. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, <br />Minnesota, the Development Agreement between the City and the YMCA is approved. <br />City staff and consultants are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate in good faith <br />regarding the financing structure that meets the needs and mutual interests of all parties <br />and to take any and all other actions necessary or convenient to affect the intent of this <br />resolution. <br />Dated: February 28, 2005 <br />Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />City Clerk <br />
