<br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14 -0 5 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT TO SECTION 2.6 <br />OF THE CENTENNIAL FIRE DISTRICT JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS , the Centennial Fire District Steering Committee (“Committee”) has forwarded a <br />proposed amendment to the City Councils of the three member cities in accordance with Section <br />16.2 of the Joint Powers Agreement (“JPA”); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , the Committee voted in favor of recommending an amendment to Section 2.6 of <br />the JPA , which establishes the voting requirements for Committee members; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS , the proposed amendment to Section 2.6 specifies that two members from any one <br />city can veto a motion up to four times in any calendar year ; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED that t he City Council of t he City of Lino Lake s <br />approves the proposed amendment to Section 2.6 of the Centennial Fire District JPA as <br />submitted by the Steering Committee. <br /> <br />Adopted by the City Council o f the City of Lino Lakes this 21 st day of January , 2014 . <br /> <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoi ng resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />_______________and was duly seconded by Council Member ________________ and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />The following voted against same: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />__________________________________ <br />Jeff Reinert , Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />_____________________________ <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk <br />
