City Council <br />JPA Anoka County <br />December 12, 2005 <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 05-197 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br />WITH COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />COUNTY STATE AID HIGHWAY 14 <br />(I -35E TO ELMCREST) <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Section 471.59, authorizes political subdivisions to <br />enter into Joint Powers Agreements, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes and the County of Anoka agree that it is in the best <br />interest of the traveling public to reconstruct County State Aid Highway No. 14 (Main <br />Street) from I -35E to Elmcrest Avenue; and <br />WHEREAS, said parties mutually agree that Washington County shall cause the <br />construction of County State Aid Highway No. 14 (Main Street); and <br />WHEREAS, the parties agree that it is in their best interest that the cost of said project <br />be shared, <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. that the City Council hereby approves the Joint Powers Agreement with the <br />County of Anoka for the reconstruction of County State Aid Highway No. 14 <br />(Main Street) from I -35E to Elmcrest Avenue and authorizes execution of said <br />agreement. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 12th day of December, 2005. <br />ATTEST: <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk <br />John J.
