<br /> <br />Exhibit A – General Contract Provisions Page 10 of 19 S:\Community Development \Engineering \Engineering RFP \Contract 2014 \PSA -Final -011314 (2) with <br />attachments.doc <br />C.2 EXTRA SERVICES AS CITY ENGINEER <br /> <br />If authorized by the City, the Engineer shall fur nish additional services of the following <br />type: <br /> <br />C.2.1 Flood Plain Management . Responds to constituent’s information requests related <br />to flood plain location. Includes preparation of elevation certificates (if required), <br />research and review of grading pl ans and site inspections. <br /> <br />C.2.2 Building Permit Reviews. Performs foundation elevation survey to insure low <br />floor elevations are consistent with approved plans. <br /> <br />C.3 PRELIMINARY REPORT/STUDY PHASE <br /> <br />Subject to further clarification and refinement on a pro ject -by -project basis, the Engineer <br />shall in proper time and sequence: <br /> <br /> C.3.1 Consult with the City representative to determine the requirements of the project, <br />review available data, attend necessary conferences, and be available for general <br />consultation . <br /> <br /> C.3.2 Advise the City as to the necessity of the City’s providing or obtaining from <br />others data or services and assist the City in obtaining such data and services. <br /> <br /> C.3.3 Identify and analyze requirements of governmental authorities having jurisdicti on <br />to approve the design of the project and participate in consultations with such <br />authorities. <br /> <br /> C.3.4 Make such preliminary studies, layouts, or field surveys to verify and supplement <br />existing elevation and topographic information and preliminary cost es timates to <br />clearly identify potential construction or financing problems. <br /> <br /> C.3.5 Assist the City in obtaining all required subsurface investigations as required for <br />the preparation of the feasibility report. <br />
