Engineer may also attend special meetings of the council and or other advisory boards <br />such as Environmental Board and Park Board. <br />Attends weekly department meetings and preliminary meetings regarding development <br />projects. <br />Flood Plain Management. Responds to constituents information requests related to <br />flood plain location. Includes preparation of elevation certificates (if required), research <br />and review of grading plans and site inspections. <br />Building Permit Reviews. Reviews residential building permit surveys for consistency <br />with approved grading and drainage plans. Performs foundation elevation survey to <br />insure low floor elevations are consistent with approved plans. Reviews residential as- <br />built surveys prior to final inspection. (Note: Commercial, Industrial and Institutional <br />review and inspection is covered under separate development specific escrow <br />agreement.) <br />Utilities. Responsible for determining annual fee adjustments to trunk utility fees based <br />on ENR cost index. Responds to inquiries regarding connection to municipal services. <br />Administers assessment determination process for connection to existing city utilities. <br />Provides general preliminary estimates for minor extensions of infrastructure to service <br />individual locations. Updates pending assessments and assists finance department <br />with management of assessment roles. <br />General Services. <br />• Assists with management of development escrow accounts <br />• Reviews, evaluates, and develops policies, ordinances and standards as <br />necessary. <br />• Identifies opportunities and assists with funding solutions for infrastructure <br />projects such as grant and loan programs. <br />
