acquiring, protecting and restoring Minnesota's natural resource base that will provide <br />public outdoor recreation opportunities; redevelopment and renovation of current <br />infrastructure; and promoting outdoor nature based recreation and nature based education <br />initiatives. <br />Applicants must be able to fund 25% of the total project costs in cash. Projects must be <br />completed within 24 months of the award. <br />Clean Water Fund <br />These funds may only be spent to protect, enhance, and restore water quality in lakes, <br />rivers, and streams and to protect groundwater from degradation. At least five percent of <br />the clean water fund must be spent to protect drinking water. <br />Below are the Competitive Grant Funding categories and the governmental units that are <br />eligible to apply for a Clean Water Fund grant.
