• <br />• <br />• <br />COUNCIL MINUTES <br />DATE <br />TIME STARTED <br />TIME ENDED <br />MEMBERS PRESENT <br />MEMBERS ABSENT <br />October 10, 2011 -18- <br />DRAFT <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />MINUTES <br />October 10, 2011 <br />6:30 p.m. <br />7:20 p.m. <br />Council Member O'Donnell, Rafferty, <br />Roeser, and Mayor Reinert <br />Council Member Gallup <br />Staff members present: City Administrator Jeff Karlson; Community Development Director Michael <br />Grochala; Director of Public Safety John Swenson; and City Clerk Julie Bartell <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />No one was present to address the council regarding a matter not on the agenda. <br />SETTING THE AGENDA <br />The agenda was approved as presented. <br />SPECIAL PRESENTATION <br />Dr. Keith Dixon, Superintendent of the Centennial School District — Dr. Dixon distributed written <br />information and spoke to the council about the statistics of the school district, the state of the district <br />and the district's partnership with the City of Lino Lakes. He also mentioned the levy question that <br />will appear on the fall ballot and he encouraged people to vote and to get the facts on the question. <br />Dr. Dixon also noted the district's decision to vacate space at city hall that has been used for an early <br />childhood learning facility; the decision to move is based on the district having other owned space <br />available making it inappropriate to lease space. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Council Member Rafferty moved to approve the Consent Agenda, Items lA through 1H with the <br />exception of Item 1E. Council Member Roeser seconded the motion.
