• <br />• <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 02-31 <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING THREE -YEAR COPS IN SCHOOLS GRANT FROM THE <br />DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, AND HIRING JESSICA HOLLORAN TO SERVE AS <br />YOUTH RESOURCE OFFICER AT THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS <br />WHEREAS, The City of Lino Lakes applied for a COPS in School Grant from the United <br />States Department of Justice, and <br />WHEREAS, On 20 March 2002 the city received word that they had been awarded the three - <br />year grant in an amount estimated to be worth $125,000.00 for the addition of a new full -time <br />officer, and <br />WHEREAS, The city hires new police officers from within the ranks of it's Community Service <br />Officers, and <br />WHEREAS, Jessica Holloran is our senior Community Service Officer, and <br />WHEREAS, that the City of Lino Lakes may enter into an agreement with the United States <br />Department of Justice for the above referenced project, and that the City of Lino Lakes certifies <br />it will comply with all applicable laws and regulations as stated in the grant agreement. The City <br />of Lino Lakes does authorize the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute this agreement. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LINO LAKES DOES HEREBY MAKE A CONDITIONAL JOB OFFICER TO <br />JESSICA HOLLORAN <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 8th day of April, 2002. <br />Ann Blair, City Clerk <br />John Bergeson, Mayor <br />
