• <br />COUNCIL MINUTES APRIL 22, 2002 <br />approval of their premises permit renewal for their State gambling license for their pull tab operation. <br />The renewal period is for two years, as per State guidelines. <br />Administration Director Tesch also referred to a copy of a memo from the Lino Lakes Police <br />Department indicating that the business and background checks have been completed and the <br />organization is in compliance with City Code. <br />Resolution No. 02 — 38 approves the application for the premises permit renewal. <br />Councilmember O'Donnell moved to adopt Resolution No. 02 — 38, as presented. Councilmember <br />Reinert seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 02 — 38 can be found in the City Clerk's office. <br />Consider Joint Resolution with Cities of Hugo and Centerville about Interchange 35E and <br />CSAH (Lino Lakes Resolution No. 02 — 39, Linda Waite Smith — City Administrator Waite Smith <br />advised the cities of Hugo, Centerville and Lino Lakes convened a joint meeting at Lino Lakes on <br />January 30, 2002, to discuss issues of mutual interest. One result of the meeting was agreement to <br />forward to the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) a joint resolution regarding the <br />importance of improving the interchange at 35E and CSAH 14. <br />The City Council of Hugo adopted this resolution at its April 1, 2002, meeting and forwarded it to the <br />other cities for action. The joint resolution: <br />States the interchange is important to the three cities because of continuing residential and <br />commercial growth. <br />Notes there is a need for expansion and reconfiguration of the interchange for congestion and <br />safety reasons. <br />Urges MnDOT to accelerate, however, possible, consideration of improvements to the <br />interchange. <br />Pledges the three cities will work closely with each other and other agencies to accomplish <br />interchange improvements at the earliest possible time. <br />City Administrator Waite Smith recommended the Council adopt the resolution and authorize staff to <br />forward it to MnDOT. <br />Mayor Bergeson stated the Council informally supported the action at the joint meeting. <br />Councilmember Reinert moved to adopt Resolution No. 02 — 39, as presented.
