Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption. <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO 02 -166 <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATIONS FROM THE CIRCLE PINES <br />LEXINGTON LIONS, LINO LAKES STATE BANK AND THE FOREST LAKE AREA <br />ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION FOR THE SUPPORT OF THE LINO LAKES PARKS AND <br />RECREATION DEPARTMENT'S ANNUAL FAMILY TURKEY SHOOT <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department is holding this annual holiday <br />event on Saturday, November 16, 2002; and <br />WHEREAS, The event is a free holiday event for the families of .ino Lakes; and <br />WHEREAS, Participant teams, consisting of one child (ages 4 -14) and one adult, will compete <br />in a variety of low -key athletic events for prizes; and <br />WHEREAS, The following organizations were made aware of the desire of the Lino Lakes <br />Parks and Recreation Department to conduct the Family Turkey Shoot with the support of <br />program sponsors and have donated the following amounts to the City to defer the costs of this <br />event: <br />Circle Pines Lexington Lions $330 <br />Lino Lakes State Bank $300 <br />Forest Lake Area Athletic Association $100 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes <br />hereby accepts the donations to help fund the Family Turkey Shoot event and wishes to express <br />its sincere gratitude and appreciation to these organizations for their donations. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this day of , 2002 <br />John Bergeson, Mayor <br />Ann Blair, City Clerk <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br />The following voted against same: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted <br />
