• C I T Y _., . t O F
IN > KE
Lino Lakes Public Services Department
600 Town Center Parkway
Lino Lakes, MN 55014
(651) 982 -2440 Fax (651) 982 -2439
Memorandum
To: Jeff Smyser
From: Rick DeGardner
Date: November 2, 1999
Re: Highland Meadows Revised Preliminary Plat
At the November 1, 1999 Park Board meeting, the Park Board made the following
comments /recommendations regarding the revised preliminary plat of Highland Meadows
(dated 10- 12 -99).
1. The trail segment west of Marilyn Drive, depicted as Outlot A, be reduced to 15'
wide park property for the trail. It is my understanding that the developer previously
agreed to construct the trail per city specifications. This may require getting
permission from the powerline company. The city will then pave the trail.
2. The trail segment from Marilyn Court to Main Street, depicted as Outlot I, is
acceptable. Again, I assume the developer will construct a trail per city specifications
The city will then pave the trail.
3. The Park Board was concerned with the neighborhood park area being reduced to
4.01 acres. The Comprehensive Park Plan indicates a need for a 10 acre park to
adequately serve this area. They have requested city staff explore any possibility that
may result in expanding the park area, including purchasing land depicted as Outlot
D.
If you have any questions or need additional information, I can be reached at 651- 982 -2444.
11/2/99
RD /Correspondence /City Staff /Smyser High Meadows
