COUNCIL MINUTES SEPTEMBER 13, 1999 <br />Consideration of Mayor and Council Responsibility - Council Member Andy Neal - <br />Council discussed the possibility of having an impartial professional person assess the current <br />situation at City Hall. It was suggested that Mr. Don Salvarda conducts private interviews and <br />delivers a report regarding the impact of the City Council on staff productivity. The approximate <br />cost of the service is $2,500.00. The report will be completed by October 4, 1999. <br />Mayor Sullivan made a motion to direct the City Administrator to come to the next work session <br />prepared to address this situation and to pursue someone neutral to assess the situation for <br />discussion, if necessary. <br />Motion failed due to lack of a second. <br />Council Member Lyden moved to have the City proceed with the hiring of Mr. Salvarda to assess <br />the situation and deliver a report by October 4, 1999, for a fee of $2,500.00. Council Member <br />Neal seconded the motion. Council Member <br />Lyden seconded the m . on carried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 99 - 68 c be found at the end of these minutes. <br />Consideration of Conditional Job Offer - Police Officer, Sergeant Hammes - The Lino Lakes <br />Police Department is requesting approval to hire Mr. Dale Hager as a grant officer. <br />A background investigation has been completed. Mr. Hager has successfully completed the <br />background investigation. Both the psychological evaluation and physical exam have been <br />scheduled. <br />Council Member Dahl moved to approve a conditional job offer to Mr. Hager contingent upon a <br />successful psychological and medical exam. Council Member Neal seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />• <br />6 <br />
