ONE YEAR ACTION PLAN PROJECTS <br />1. APOLLO BUSINESS PARK DEVELOPMENT <br />1999 REVIEW: In 1999 the light industrial area on Apollo Drive was expanded to <br />include six acres of land formerly owned by Hawkins Chemical. The <br />Lino Lakes Business Center constructed Phases 5 & 6 on the site, <br />with plans to build Phases 7 & 8 in 2000. Contract Hardware <br />constructed a facility on the G.M. Development site and staff <br />continued to work with prospects for further development of the <br />remaining sites. At total of $2,788,500 in additional market value was <br />added in 1999. Phase 3 of Apollo Drive was also completed, <br />connecting it directly to Lake Drive. <br />PURPOSE: Continue marketing the Apollo Business Park as a primary <br />component of the City's economic development effort. <br />TIME FRAME: Two years <br />ASSIGNED TO: Community Development Director, Economic Development <br />Assistant, EDAC members, city staff <br />STRATEGY: 1. Facilitate the development of the G.M. Development site to <br />expand industrial development in the privately owned portion of <br />the park. <br />2. Develop a master plan and implementation plan for signage, <br />lighting and landscaping in the business park. <br />3. Design and install an entrance monument to the park as part of <br />the identity program for the city. <br />PROJECTED RESULTS: <br />Full development of Apollo Business Park, realizing the optimal <br />investment potential of the City's prime industrial land. <br />3 <br />
