ACTION ITEMS <br /> <br />A. PUBLIC HEARING to consider an Interim Use Permit to allow accessory <br />outdoor storage at 7301 Apollo Ct. <br /> <br />Paul Bengtson , Associate Planner, presented the staff report. Staff recommended <br />approval of the Zoning Ordinance Amendment with conditions as listed in the staff <br />report . <br /> <br />Staff a ddressed questions of the board, including the reason for a 5 -year interim use limit , <br />which is to get a business established and then require them to enclose their s torage or <br />move as the business grows. Staff noted that the required setbacks and conditions are <br />consistent with the Light Industrial ordinance changes that are being considered by the <br />board later in the meeting. <br /> <br />Vi ce Chair Hyden declared the Public Hearing open at 6 :43 p.m. <br /> <br />Attorney Bill Griffith , representing business owner Mark Dietz , addressed the board and <br />noted that product manufacturing occurs inside and staging for delivery occurs outdoors. <br />The company has 2 2 employees and saw 100% growth in the past year. They are asking <br />for a 10 -year sunset. <br /> <br />Mark Dietz, owner of Lakes Building Components , s tated that they agree to the <br />conditions but are unsure of the company’s future growth, therefore requesting an <br />extende d term on the interim use time limit. <br /> <br />Mr. John Freimuth, 7381 Jon Avenue, s tated that he has complained to the city about the <br />diesel forklift that starts as early as 6 a.m. He commented that the city should not be <br />rewarding businesses for not doing what t hey should have done in the first place. <br /> <br />Mr. Root made a MOTION to close the Public Hearing at 7 :04 p.m. Motion was <br />supported by Mr . Evenson . Motion carried 4 - 0. <br /> <br />Mr. Root made a MOTION to recommend approval of the Interim Use Permit to allow <br />accesso ry outdoor storage at 7301 Apollo Court based on the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. This interim use permit is issued to and applies only to the property at 7301 Apollo <br />Drive. <br />
