Planning & Zoning Board <br />June 13, 2012 <br />Page 5 <br />APPROVED MINUTES <br />Mr. Laden made a MOTION to approve Resolution No. 1 2 -01, determining conformance <br />with Comprehensive Plan, Otter Lake Road Extension Improvement Process . <br /> <br />Motion was supported by Mr. Evenson . Motion carried 4 - 0 . <br /> <br />VI I DISCUSSION ITEMS <br /> <br />A. Recap of Urban Land Institute Workshop and Survey Results <br /> <br />Mary Divine provided an overview of the ULI discussion which was held with the <br />Economic Development Advisory Committee and Ci ty Council Members. Ms. Divine <br />requested comments from the Planning & Zoning Board. <br />Board commments included: <br />• The City’s Comprehensive Plan is a good plan and is flexible enough to <br />accommodate diversity of development <br />• Master planned area are valuable and the city should continue doing that <br />• Developers should not guide development, but market forces will drive what <br />develops <br />• The rural character of the City is a valuable resource, and walking to services <br />doesn’t fit with that <br />• It was good to share with other ci ty officials and it was valuable to see the <br />demographic data <br />• The City should have a well defined plan, and administer the plan efficiently and <br />predictably. <br /> <br />VI I I . ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />M r. Laden made a MOTION to a djourn the meeting at 8 :42 p .m. Motion was supporte d <br />by M r. Evenson .
