Plann ing & Zoning Board
August 8, 2012
Page 3
APPROVED MINUTES
members suggested that is it likely that the gas station will not succeed due to this
access problem.

Mr. Hyde n addressed the difficulty of the intersection of Apollo Drive and
Marketplace Drive entering and exiting the Marketplace businesses. He noted that
there have been a number of accidents in this area due to a stop sign in one direction,
but not the other. Board members agreed that this intersection is a problem for
drivers.

Board Members questioned how the city could approve poorly designed
intersections and access areas such as these. Staff suggested that the board members
contact the city engineer with their concerns.

Mr. Root noted that Encompass Digital Media (the applicant that was approved for
grading and earth removal at 6221 Holly Drive) did erect truck hauling signs as
recommended by the board. Mr. Tralle pointed out that this applicant was a w ell
prepared applicant.

VI I . ADJOURNMENT

M r. Nelson made a MOTION to a djourn the meeting at 7 :39 p .m.
