He stated the company is a <br />45- year -old manufacturing company that will be relocating to Lino Lakes in September 2000. He introduced <br />himself and stated he is pleased that the company will be located within the City. <br />10American Legion (Andy Neal/Patti Coleman), Recognize an Outstanding Lino Lakes Teen - Mr. Andy <br />Neal, resident and former Council Member, came forward and thanked everyone for what they have done for the <br />American Legion. <br />Ms. Patti Coleman, President of the Ladies Auxiliary, came forward and stated she picks two (2) young ladies <br />every year to attend the Girls State. She introduced Ms. Jennifer Wong, Governor of the 2000 Minnesota Girls <br />State. <br />Ms. Wong came forward and stated Girls State is a wonderful program that would not be possible without the <br />American Legion. She gave an overview of the Girls State Program and the week she spent there. She stated <br />the program taught her not to take freedom for granted and to honor those who have fought for that freedom. <br />She stated the program also encouraged those in attendance to get involved in government. She stated the <br />program was beneficial to all that were involved. <br />Update on Twilight Acres - The City Administrator advised staff met with 11 residents last week regarding <br />Twilight Acres. The discussion included the following options that need to be explored relating to failing <br />septics: <br />1. Another survey to determine the level of the resident's willingness to pay for this project. <br />2. Placing the project on the ballot this fall for consideration. <br />3. Making a specific funding request to an agency other than the City. <br />2 <br />
