• COUNCIL MINUTES AUGUST 28, 2000 • Prioritizing economic development efforts to ensure that the City's commitment to infrastructure, staff time and incentives produces the highest possible results • Revisiting zoning ordinances to reflect the changing quality of commercial and industrial development in the City • Establishing a long range improvement plan to redevelop blighted or substandard areas As a part of implementing this plan, EDAC recently voted to endorse the Town Center standards with the understanding that the City Council may revise specific requirements in the standards before they become a part of the City's zoning ordinances. EDAC also recommended revisions to the City's Tax Increment Financing policy to reduce the City's reliance on TIF to attract new industrial business, while providing the City with the opportunity to assist quality businesses in relocating to Lino Lakes.
