• <br />COUNCIL MINUTES AUGUST 28, 2000 <br />• Prioritizing economic development efforts to ensure that the City's commitment to infrastructure, <br />staff time and incentives produces the highest possible results <br />• Revisiting zoning ordinances to reflect the changing quality of commercial and industrial <br />development in the City <br />• Establishing a long range improvement plan to redevelop blighted or substandard areas <br />As a part of implementing this plan, EDAC recently voted to endorse the Town Center standards with <br />the understanding that the City Council may revise specific requirements in the standards before they <br />become a part of the City's zoning ordinances. EDAC also recommended revisions to the City's Tax <br />Increment Financing policy to reduce the City's reliance on TIF to attract new industrial business, <br />while providing the City with the opportunity to assist quality businesses in relocating to Lino Lakes. <br />Mayor Bergeson thanked staff for the presentation of the Plan at the oci1 work session. <br />Council Member Carlson thanked staff and EDAC for the wor t th:plan.
