COUNCIL MINUTES JUNE 25, 2001 <br />Council Member Dahl abstained. Mayor Bergeson voted yea. Council Member Carlson voted yea. <br />Council Member O'Donnell voted yea. Council Member Reinert voted yea. <br />Motion carried with Council Member Dahl abstaining. <br />Mayor Bergeson thanked everyone involved with the Plan. He stated the City will move ahead with <br />the submission to the Metropolitan Council. The City has a lot of work to do on new ordinances and <br />that work can no begin. <br />Resolutions No. 01 — 88 and No. 01 — 89 can be found in the City Clerk's office. <br />Resolution No. 01— 82, Variance, Glenn Valentine, 64th Street and 20th Avenue, (3/5 Vote <br />Required), Jeff Smyser — City Planner Smyser advised Mr. Glenn Valentine of Ventura Homes has <br />applied for a variance from the required setback from a collector road. The site lies between I -35E <br />and 20th Avenue (Co. Rd. 54). Most of the site is wetland. Only a small portion of the site is upland: <br />the area along 20th Avenue. Variances from required road setbacks eeded if a house and <br />driveway are to be built. That the proposed actions will be in keeping with the spirit and intent of the ordinance. <br />City Planner Smyser advised the Planning and Zoning Board reviewed the application at its June 13 <br />meeting and recommended approval based on conditions. Staff is also recommending approval based <br />on conditions. <br />Council Member O'Donnell asked if there will be any utilities in that area in the foreseeable future. <br />City Engineer Powell advised the area is in Sewer District 5. There will not be any utility service in <br />the near future. <br />Council Member O'Donnell asked if there is room on the property for a second septic location if the <br />current sewer fails. City Planner Smyser advised the survey does show a location for another septic <br />10 <br />
