i
•
North Metro Media Center
According to the results of our 2000 Viewer Survey, 60% of those questioned were
interested in seeing community news programming. We've taken great strides, over the
past year and a half, in developing our news program, City Scope. What we hope to do
in 2002, is to build on a great beginning.
The emphasis will be on the total package. The complete look of the show, the number
of assigned production staff, the frequency of production, and promotion of the show will
all see change. Specific areas of concentration will include:
• An original and identifiable news set
❖ The production -of a new City Scope intro
❖ Incorporate new City Scope logo design
❖ Increased stand -up reporting and event coverage as a result of increased
staff
❖ Acquire and utilize non - linear editing software
❖ Produce City Scope on a weekly basis
❖ Expand contact list
❖ Quarterly production of video promos
❖ Distribution of City Scope flyers at van shoots, and other event coverage
❖ Monthly spots /promos in City newsletters, where possible
City Scope has emerged as our best opportunity to produce a program that could
appeal to every resident of our seven communities. Because the show supplies
information that can't be found anywhere else on television it also provides an important
community service. It will be an even better show in 2002.
