❖ City Scope
Our primary goal in the area of program production will, of course, be the expansion of
City Scope to a weekly production schedule. This, in itself, will be quite an undertaking.
It will require a very high level of organization, optimum time management, the
availability of additional equipment, and the cooperation of the local organizations and
agencies we rely on for interviews and information.
•2 Chamber Shows
In the past, getting businesses and the organizations that serve them involved in local
programming wasn't a top priority. That has changed. Recognizing the needs of local
businesses has become important to all of us. We are on the verge of cementing a long
term, mutually beneficial alliance with three of the chambers of commerce that serve
businesses in our seven city area. Through the production of series programs, the
taping of chamber events, staff participation in networking opportunities and the
promotion of the availability of sponsorship opportunities we plan to become even closer
allies of business in 2002.
❖ At least monthly production of Taking Care of Business
• Continued production of The Job Show
❖ Tape chamber luncheon speakers
❖ Develop business contacts for City Scope and other shows through networking at
chamber events
❖ Develop and promote a sponsorship program available to local businesses
• Promos
Staff plans to take advantage of channel surfers by playing humorous promos, around
programs we produce, just before the hour, quarter -hour, and half -hour, on channel 15.
Generally speaking, these are common times for broadcast program changes or
commercial breaks. Viewers typically channel surf during commercials. Because
channel 15 is so low in the channel line -up, the probability of being passed through
during a programming break is very high. We hope to focus surfers' attention, if only
briefly, on community programming.
s
