COUNCIL MINUTES JULY 23, 2001 Council Member Reinert stated the real issue is if the City should wait another month to fill the Board vacancy. If the Council is comfortable with that he will withdraw the motion. Mayor Bergeson asked if the Council can discuss this issue and appoint someone at the August 1 special Council meeting. The City Attorney advised a Council Member should make a motion to table the appointment to the August 1, 2001, meeting. Approval of the appointment can be made at that time because it will be posted as a special Council meeting. Council Member Carlson stated she does not have her materials with her and she could not make a good decision this evening. Mayor Bergeson stated he will support tabling the appointment if a legal decision can be made at the August 1 meeting. Council Member Reinert withdrew the motion. Council Member O'D,j ell withdrew the second. Council Member Reinert moved to table the appointment of the to the August 1, 2001, Council meeting. Council Member C carried unanimously.
