AGENDA ITEM 3A & 3B <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR Al Rolek <br />MEETING DATE October 22, 2001 <br />TOPIC Public Hearing on the Certification of Delinquent Water and Sewer <br />Utility Charges for collection with 2001 Property Taxes Payable in <br />2002 <br />VOTE REQUIRED <br />Simple Majority (3/5) <br />Staff annually brings before the City Council delinquent water and sewer utility charges for <br />certification to the County Auditor for collection with the following year property taxes. A public <br />hearing was scheduled for this evening to give affected property owners an opportunity to speak <br />to this impending action. Affected property owners received mailed notice of this proceeding. <br />Staff recommends that the City Council adopt Resolution 01 -173 authorizing the certification of <br />delinquent water and sewer utility charges to be collected with 2001 property taxes payable in <br />2002. <br />1) Adopt Resolution No. 01 -173. <br />2) Return to staff for further review. <br />3) Do not adopted Resolution No. 01 -173. <br />1 RECOMMENDATION: <br />Option 1. <br />• <br />
