Great Blue Herons for gathering nesting material. Adding willow and red -osier dogwood, <br />which can be cut to provide additional nesting materials, may also enhance the riparian area Access for research <br />and observational studies of the native wildlife is welcomed and encouraged. <br />Restoration of the field area will enhance the habitat for Great Blue Herons and Egrets as well as Bald Eagle and <br />Sand Hill Cranes and other native species. The nearby island has also been home to a bald eagle. The restoration <br />will establish additional: habitat needed to support bald eagle prey. <br />Vegetation monitoring should be conducted to watch for shifts in the plant community composition due to management <br />activities Under certain conditions, activities such as fire have the ability to increase the presence of some species at . <br />the expense of others.
