• <br />Subdivision 4. Vacancy: Any vacancy shall be filled for the unexpired.term of <br />temp any. The notices must be published at least once in a . • <br />• newspaper of general circulation in the watershed management organization area. The . <br />notices must state that persons interested in being appointed to serve on the watershed . . <br />• management organization board may submit their names to the appointing authorityyfor. . <br />consideration. Published notice of the vacancy must be given at least 15 days before an <br />appointment or reappointment is made. <br />Subdivision 5. Compensation. Commissioners shall serve without compensation • <br />• and without expense allowance or reimbursement from the. Board, but this shall not <br />• <br />• <br />• prevent a governmental unit from providing compensation for its Commissioner for <br />• serving on the Board, if such compensation is authorized. <br />Subdivision 6. Board. • At the first *meeting. of the Board and the first meeting <br />each year thereafter,' the Board shall elect from its Commissioners a chair, a vice chair, <br />• secretary, and treasurer, or combination secretary- treasurer, and such other officers as it <br />• deems necessary to conduct its meetings and affairs. •At the organizational meeting or as <br />• soon thereafter as it many be reasonably done, the Board shall adopt rules governing its <br />::..meetings. Such rules may be amended form time to time at either_a regular of special <br />:meeting of the Board. • <br />Subdivision 7. Alternate Representative.
