• <br />• <br />• <br />STAFF MEMBER <br />COUNCIL <br />MEETING <br />DATE <br />AGENDA ITEM 3A <br />Gordon Heitke, City Administrator <br />November 22, 2004 <br />SUBJECT Recommendation for Reappointment of Harvey Karth on the <br />Rice Creek Watershed District Board of Managers <br />VOTE REQUIRED 3/5 <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City of Lino Lakes has received official notice from Anoka County of the January 17, 2004 <br />expiration of the term of Mr. Harvey Karth on the Rice Creek Watershed District Board of <br />Directors. The City Council has chosen not to exercise its authority under M.S. 103B.227 to <br />submit a list of nominees to fill the vacancy from which the County must appoint. <br />Mr. Karth has submitted a letter to the City indicating his intent to seek reappointment and <br />asking for a recommendation from the City Council to the Anoka County Board that he be <br />reappointed to the Rice Creek Watershed District Board of Directors. <br />OPTIONS <br />1. Approve the recommendation for reappointment of Harvey Karth to the Rice Creek <br />Watershed District Board of Managers. <br />2. Provide other direction to staff. <br />ATTACHMENT <br />1.
