•
•
•
Mayor & Council
City of Lino Lakes
600 Town Center Parkway
Lino Lakes, Mn 55014 -1128
Dear Members
I have served on the Rice Creek Watershed District Board of Managers for the year of
2004. It has been an exciting year to say the least. We are close to a conclusion of the
JD2 ditch problem in Hugo, after many years of wrangling and lawsuits. We have also
been of help to the City of Blaine with the adoption of the Comprehensive Wetland
Management Plan, which is now being developed for the City of Lino Lakes and
Columbus Township.
My term is up in December of 2004 and I am at this time asking you to recommend my
reappoint to another term with the board of managers. There are several more problems
coming up in the next few years and the experience I have gained in the last year will go
along way with the solution to these problems. You know I am retired and therefore have
the time to, meet with people and to physically go to problem locations and see them first
hand, which is a big help not only to me but my fellow board members.
My reappointment will also give me the time necessary to follow up on one of my pet
project, (cleaning up the chain of lakes in Lino Lakes) which I have been working on and
off with since 1979. As a board member I can accomplish more in three years with this
problem than I could in the next ten years on the outside.
Thank you
Harvey Karth
926 Main St
Lino Lakes, Mn 55014
651- 784 -1283
hkarth99 @comcast.net
