A Local Mitigation Plan
Crosswalk, found in Appendix H,
provides a summary of FEMA's
current minimum standards of
acceptability for compliance with the
Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000 and
notes the location where each
requirement is met within the Plan.
These standards are based upon
FEMA's Interim Final Rule as
published in the Federal Register on
February 26, 2002, in Part 201 of the
Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).
The planning process included eight
major steps that were completed
during the development of the Plan.
These steps are illustrated in Figure
2.1.
Multi- hazard Requirement §201.6(b): An open pubii
involvement process is essential to the development o
n effective plan.
