to protect animals from being contaminated with water, wastes, and harmful <br />chemicals. Wastes must be disposed of properly. Where applicable, flushing methods <br />and a disinfectant must be used periodically. Bedding, if used, must be kept clean and <br />dry. Outdoor enclosures must be kept clean and base material replaced as necessary. <br />The owner of any dog shall prevent the dog from committing in the City any act <br />which constitutes a nuisance by way of noise, odor, or otherwise stated by city code. <br />1 Private kennels shall be limited to one litter in a 12 month period. <br />Qein the case of Private Kennels, licensees shall affix an identification tag to all dogs <br />owned by or under the control of the licensee. <br />Current Rabies Vaccination. A licensee shall cause every dog in a kennel to be <br />vaccinated by a licensed veterinary surgeon with anti- rabies vaccine. Puppies shall <br />be so vaccinated at or before the age of sixteen weeks and again at the age of one <br />year. __Adult dogs shall be so vaccinated at: least once in every 24 month period or <br />en- as-needed-nn er the type_of=vaccine-used to ensure-Ymmum <br />• <br />The owner of any dog in heat shall cause such dog to be confined in such a <br />manner so as not to come in contact with any other dog during such time as the dog is <br />in heat, except for intentional breeding purposes. <br />El The owner of any dog shall be responsible for the sanitary disposal of all feces <br />material deposited by such dog in the following manner: <br />During the period of November 1st through April 30th, all feces <br />material shall be removed from the owner's premises and/or stored in <br />a sanitary manner within seventy -two (72) hours. <br />During the period of May 1St through October 31St, all feces material <br />shall be removed from the owner's property and/or stored in a sanitary <br />manner within forth -eight (48) hours. <br />Objectionable feces odor and/or flies detectable at the adjoining <br />property line shall be deemed a violation of this Section. <br />7The owner of any animal within the City shall provide such animal with sufficient <br />wholesome food and water on a daily basis, proper and sufficient shelter from the <br />weather, and veterinary care when needed to prevent suffering of any sick or injured <br />animal (502.6 Subd 5). <br />Minnesota Statute Chapter 346.39 DOGS AND CATS: <br />Subd. 1.
