AWARDS RECOGNITION PROGRAM
The Lino Lakes Police Department always expects a high level of professional performance from
its employees. All department members can nominate peers they feel have exceeded the high
standards of the department. In 2006, the following employees were selected for Certificate of
Commendation awards:
1st QUARTER — VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR/
CRIME PREVENTION SPECIALIST
Karen Anderson received recognition for her
organizational and promotional skills in developing the Wall of
Fame, the Volunteer Program and the Employee/Volunteer
Recognition program. She was further recognized for her
attention to detail and her unwavering commitment by providing
the foundation for the Cable TV show "LLPD Roll Call ".
2nd QUARTER — OFFICER WAYNE WEGENER
Officer Wayne Wegener
Karen Anderson
Officer Wayne Wegener was recognized for his involvement
in the 2006 Police Unity Tour. Officers from around the country
ride bikes from New Jersey to Washington, D.C. over five days to
raise awareness in both the police and civilian communities about
the National Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial. His
participation in this event demonstrated his personal drive to
successfully attain the physical and mental challenge associated with
training for and completing the 250 mile tour. His sacrifices were
made in honor of the more than 18,000 officers killed in the line of
duty and specifically in memory of Officer Shawn Silvera. His
actions reflected highly upon the Lino Lakes Police Department.
Lino Lakes Police Department 2006 Annual Report 6
•
•
•
