• <br />3rd QUARTER — OFFICER STEVE WAGNER <br />Officer Steve Wagner was recognized for his commitment <br />and dedication to Firearms and Defensive Tactics training both for <br />the department and throughout Anoka County. He was <br />instrumental in planning a county -wide shoot using his <br />professional and educational lesson plans; and for spending <br />countless hours developing the video tape curriculum. He further <br />conducted the department's Defensive Tactics and Active Threat <br />training on September 13, 2006. <br />4th QUARTER — OFFICER JOEL MARTIN <br />Officer Joel Martin <br />Officer Steve Wagner <br />Officer Joel Martin was recognized for his excellent <br />performance in apprehending suspects who on two occasions <br />constructed homemade bombs that exploded in two residential <br />neighborhoods. Upon interviewing witnesses he was able to <br />gain their trust and confirm a vehicle description. Through a <br />coordinated effort with other members of the police <br />department Officer Martin was able to locate the suspects by <br />utilizing visual clues and ultimately arrested the suspects for <br />possession of explosive and incendiary devices. <br />On behalf of the Lino Lakes Police Department we thank and commend each of you for your <br />efforts! <br />Lino Lakes Police Department 2006 Annual Report 7 <br />
