He is currently serving <br />as the City Engineer for Lino Lakes and has been doing so for over eight years. As City <br />Engineer, he handles the day to day requirements of the City, financing of projects, asset <br />management, and manages all City construction projects. His street improvements <br />management extends from daily maintenance, State Aid Reconstructions to interchange <br />replacements. His experience also covers smaller communities as he has previously served <br />as City Engineer for Dellwood and Lindstrom, and Town Engineer for Columbus Township <br />(now City of Columbus), Denmark Township, and West Lakeland Township, all in Minnesota. <br />Project Experience <br />APPOINTED CITY ENGINEER <br />City of Lino Lakes <br />2002 - Present <br />Serving as the City Engineer attending all Council <br />and staff meetings, responsible for the review and <br />implementation of private development projects, and <br />for municipal infrastructure planning, design, and <br />construction. <br />• Works with City Staff to ensure infrastructure needs <br />are efficiently met while staying within budgets. <br />Seeks opportunities to train City staff to implement <br />elements of required programs such as NPDES Phase <br />II and Wellhead Protection to minimize overall costs. <br />• Acts as City liaison and representative in meetings <br />with other communities, Anoka County, Mn /DOT, <br />Metropolitan Council Environmental Services, Rice <br />Creek Watershed District, and Minnesota Cities <br />Stormwater Coalition on matters such as regional <br />roadway improvements, storm water management <br />requirements and other areas impacting City <br />infrastructure as directed by the City Administrator. <br />• Management and administration of the City's <br />Municipal State -Aid Street System, MS4 NPDES <br />Phase II Permit, and Right -of -Way Management. <br />• Responsible for tracking and reporting of engineering <br />budget items to meet budgets and to ensure proper <br />coding of fees to various City funds. <br />• Reviews land use applications, development <br />proposals and construction plans for private <br />developments for consistency with ordinances and <br />City Design and Construction Standards Manual. <br />• Infrastructure planning including the Comprehensive <br />Sanitary Sewer Plan, Water System Plan, and <br />implementation of the 5 -year Capital Improvement <br />Plan. <br />• Assisted with the development and adoption of City <br />Assessment Policy, development and implementation <br />of the original 5 -year Street Capital Improvement <br />Program, and development and adoption of the City <br />Design and Construction Standards Manual. <br />• Assisted with development for first NPDES Phase II <br />Permit Program for the City, including implementation <br />of work schedules, inspection forms, and capital <br />improvement plans and erosion and sedimentation <br />control standards. <br />PROJECT MANAGER <br />Holly Drive MSA Improvement <br />Lino Lakes, MN <br />1 mile of city streets reconstructed utilizing silt filtrating <br />manhole structures to minimize silt contamination into the <br />immense surrounding wetlands. Extended 16" watermain <br />1000+ feet for future use by development.
