Funding
Total Funding Solutions that assist Lino Lakes in:
• Finding grants and loans to make projects a reality.
• Funding application and administration
management.
• Lobbying for Lino Lakes to the State of Minnesota.
Project funding is most often the biggest challenge in
public improvement projects today. Our funding team
will help you obtain state and federal grants and low -
interest loans to get your projects built. Over the last 18
months, we've secured about $120 million in grants and
low- interest loans for our Minnesota clients.
Heidi Peper
Funding Lead
Heidi assists communities with
federal funding grants, federal
appropriations, and state bonding
requests, all at no charge. She has
over 14 years professional experience
in community and economic
development and marketing. Heidi coordinates
affordable financing packages, including grants, low -
interest loans and other financial incentive programs for
the full range of municipal projects. She also assists
cities with economic development services.
We will review your needs and proposed improvements with you in detail and then research funding sources
and help you apply for the appropriate funding programs. We will explore regional, state and federal grant
and loan programs to create the most affordable financing package for your planned projects. We will also
enlist our team to help you lobby for state and /or federal direct appropriations, including state bonding.
Minnesota Project Funding Successes — Last 18 Months
Source
Projects
Amount
DEED Business Development Public Infrastructure Grants
6
$1,421,799
DEED Redevelopment Grant Funds
5
$3,271,235
DEED Small Cities Development Program
4
$945,780
HUD
2
$2,500,000
USDA Rural Development
11
$32,440,000
Section 569 Northeast Minnesota Environmental Assistance Program
8
$3,605,000
DEED Public Facilities Authority Drinking Water and Clean Water Revolving Fund
7
$24,655,601
ARRA Clean Water Revolving Fund
6
$17,090,635
Mn /DOT SAFETEA —LU (transportation enhancement programs)
3
$3,016,641
Special Appropriations (Trails, Infrastructure, and Economic Development Projects)
(Variety)
$16,617,000
EECBG Grant Funds
10
$577,350
Iron Range Resources
24
$5,255,000
Miscellaneous Grant Programs /Foundations
(Variety)
$3,435,000
Total Funding Secured
$118,209,041
City of Lino Lakes • City Engineering Services I page 20
