dentification and Qualifications of Assigned Personnel Proposed City Engineer We are proposing a unique and experienced team with proven expertise in the areas we believe to be important to the City of Lino Lakes. As shown on the organizational chart on the following page, many from our team have strong familiarity with the City and the surrounding area. Jason Wedel, PE CITY ENGINEER Jason's depth of experience makes him the ideal candidate for the Lino Lakes City Engineer role. • Consultant Engineer (Lino Lakes) • Staff Public Works Director /City Engineer (Savage) • Director of Land Development (Pulte Homes) Jason has more than 15 years of experience in municipal engineering. Jason has the experience and background necessary to assist the City in planning, design, and construction of all types of infrastructure projects with excellence. "Jason is effective at identifying, prioritizing and finding creative solutions to maintain infrastructure. He is well received by both City staff and council members." -BARRY STOCK CITY ADMINISTRATOR CITY OF SAVAGE Jason's experience working in the City of Lino Lakes will provide him with a solid foundation related to the City's infrastructure pattem and the culture of the staff and residents, which will enable him to hit the ground running on engineering matters. After working for TKDA, Jason was hired to be the Public Works Director /City Engineer for the City of Savage. During his tenure at the City of Savage he provided direction and supervision to the Engineering, Street, Utilities, and Parks Departments (total of 45 employees). His responsibilities included the following: WSB & Associates. Inc. • Oversight of the preparation of plans and specifications for City improvement projects • Updated information related to MSAS needs • Preparation and review of annual budgets • Updated the City's five year CIP • Provided direction to the City Council • Coordinated new projects with state and county officials • Applied for and received both state and federal funding for bridge and major roadway improvements Jason's experience working as the in -house Public Works Director /City Engineer provides him with the management level expertise to work cooperatively with City staff, monitor schedules and budgets, control costs, and deliver service at a high level. Jason also has experience working for a national home building company (Pulte Homes) as their Director of Land. While in that role, Jason performed duties related to land acquisition, entitlement, and development, which provides him with a unique perspective and understanding of how developers and cities can collaborate to develop mutually beneficial assets for the community. Jason's experience provided opportunities to develop projects located in 17 different communities, including the neighboring cities of Blaine and Hugo, and to observe how the various cities work with developers to achieve their goals. Jason's land development experience will provide tremendous value to the City of Lino Lakes when development activity returns and will help to meet the City's goals associated with land development projects. Additionally, Jason also spent three years as the Vice Chair of the Planning Commission for the City of Savage. Jason's experience on the Planning Commission will benefit the City of Lino Lakes by providing him with a board member perspective on understanding policy and public involvement related to development issues.
