immEm Land Development Experience Our proposed City Engineer, Jason Wedel, has extensive and unmatched experience related to land development. As a former consulting engineer for the City of Lino Lakes, his duties included providing development review of the proposed projects. Some of the subdivisions he reviewed included the following: • Bluebill Ponds • Century Farms • Trappers Crossing • Pheasant Hills • Clearwater Creek In addition, he was involved with the review of several commercial projects including the following: • Super Target • Kohls • Mueller -Bies Funeral Home IN As the City Engineer for the City of Savage from 2001 to 2005 during the housing boom, he was responsible for the approvals of dozens of subdivisions and hundreds of new lots. This included single family, townhome, and commercial development, including the largest influx of retail development the City had ever experienced at the intersection of TH 13 and CSAH 42. That development included Cub Foods, A & W /KFC, Davanni's, Super Target, Buffalo Wild Wings, Wendy's, Holiday Station, Valvoline Oil Change, a bank, and various small retail stores. He was also responsible for WSB & Assoc preparing the developers' agreements, some of which were complicated and involved cost sharing for public infrastructure such as arterial streets, traffic signals, and trunk utility oversizing. At Pulte Homes, Jason Jason also has unique experience related to land development, as the former Director of Land for Pulte Homes, the largest home builder in the was responsible for all aspects of land development including acquisition of new property, entitlement and platting of the various subdivisions, and contracting and managing the development of over a thousand homes across the seven county metropolitan area. This has afforded Jason the opportunity to work in 17 different cities. Jason will provide important input on how to work effectively and efficiently with developers to avoid any unnecessary conflicts, to make sure their plans are consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan and the goals of the City, and improve the overall development process for the City of Lino Lakes. Jason also previously served the City of Savage as the Vice Chair of the Planning Commission for three years. As the Vice Chair, Jason had the opportunity to preside over a significant number of meetings and public hearings in the Chair's absence. He knows how difficult it can be for commissioners to make recommendations on projects, especially when there is public opposition, and can use his experience to facilitate meetings to reach the best possible outcomes for both the community.
