Goal: Plan for and implement needed local regional <br />transportation improvements. <br />a. Status: In progress. <br />b. The following items still need to be considered: <br />• 49 &J <br />• Other street requirements: 23, Lake Drive, Main Street <br />• Northerly bypass concept. <br />3. Goal: Review and update the City Charter so that it reflects and <br />facilitates current and future needs of the City. <br />a. Status: This effort is being undertaken as a result of this <br />goal, established in 2006, feedback from the Community <br />Quality of Life Survey, and direction provided by the <br />Citizen Visioning Committee in the SPOTLIGHT 2030 <br />Vision Plan. <br />b. Items still remaining for action: <br />• Receive report from the Citizens' Charter Task Force <br />(June, 2007) <br />• Proceed with the Comp Plan Update process (2007 -08) <br />4. Goal: Review and update City's Recreation projects and <br />priorities. <br />a. Status: Ongoing <br />b. The following two items were identified: <br />• Disposition/use of the land set aside for a recreation <br />complex <br />• Identification of other recreation and recreation - related <br />needs <br />• Funding considerations. <br />5. Goal: Achieve infrastructure within areas of the City to ensure <br />compliance with Comprehensive Plan requirements. <br />
