THIS <br />ORDINANCE: PROVIDES FOR REGULATING AND GOVERNING THE <br />SAFEGUARDING OF LIFE AND PROPERTY FROM FIRE AND EXPLOSION <br />HAZARDS ARISING FROM THE STORAGE, HANDLING AND USE OF <br />HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES, MATERIALS AND DEVICES, AND FROM <br />CONDITIONS HAZARDOUS TO LIFE OR PROPERTY IN THE OCCUPANCY OF <br />BUILDINGS AND PREMISES IN THE CITY OF LINO LAKES; PROVIDES FOR <br />THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS AND COLLECTION OF FEES THEREOF; <br />PROVIDES PENAL HES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF; REPEALS ALL <br />ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES THAT CONFLICT THEREWITH. <br />THIS ORDINANCE SHALL PERPETUALLY INCLUDE THE MOST CURRENT <br />EDI'T'ION OF THE MINNESOTA STA "T'E FIRE CODE. <br />The City of Lino Lakes does ordain as follows: <br />Section 1. Adoption. The Minnesota State Fire Code, as adopted pursuant to Minnesota <br />Statues, section 299F.011, and as modified by Minnesota Rules, Chapter 7511, shall be <br />applicable within the City of Lino Lakes. <br />Section 2. Definitions. <br />(a.) Whenever the work "jurisdiction" is used in the Minnesota State Fire Code, it shall <br />mean the City of Lino Lakes. <br />(b.) Whenever the term "this code" is used in the Minnesota State Fire Code or this <br />ordinance, it shall mean the code adopted pursuant to this ordinance. <br />Section 3. Application, Administration, and Enforcement. The application, <br />administration, and enforcement of the code shall be in accordance with Minnesota State <br />Fire Code. <br />(a.) The chief of the Centennial Fire District is authorized to enforce the provisions of <br />the Minnesota State Code and this ordinance. <br />—4 9— <br />• <br />
