Funding sources: General Fund <br />STATUS: The Citizen Task force completed and submitted their report to the Council on <br />June 29. The Task Force made its initial presentation to the Council at the July 2 work <br />session. <br />(2) Objective: Accept report of the Citizen Charter Task Force <br />a. Key Action Steps: <br />i. City Council takes formal action to accept report <br />b. Lead Party: City Council <br />Key Contributors: <br />c. Funding sources: No funds required <br />STATUS: The Citizen task Force presented the report and the Council accepted the <br />report at the July 9 meeting, <br />(3) <br />Objective: Take appropriate Council action on recommendations <br />contained in the report <br />a. Key Action Steps: <br />City Council considers findings /recommendations of report <br />ii. City Council determines whether to support amendments to the <br />charter <br />iii. If Council supports amending the charter, a process is identified <br />for developing the specific amendment (Alternatives provided in <br />statutes) <br />iv. Proposed amendment is drafted <br />v. City Council acts to place amendment question on ballot <br />(September 10), if process includes referendum <br />vi. Public information program is developed and implemented, if <br />process includes referendum <br />vii. Referendum held November 6, if included in process <br />b.
