77TH STREET REALIGNMENT <br />STREET, TRAFFIC SIGNAL, STORM SEWER, <br />SANITARY SEWER AND WATERMAIN IMPROVEMENTS <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA <br />EXECUTIVE SUMMARY <br />This Feasibility Report addresses the removal of 77th Street from Marilyn Avenue to Lake Drive <br />(County State Aid Highway 23), and realigning the roadway from Marilyn Avenue to the <br />southeast and connecting to Lake Drive at the intersection of Marketplace Drive. The proposed <br />roadway realignment length is approximately 500 feet (0.09 mile). The proposed improvements <br />also include traffic signal modifications at the intersection of Lake Drive and Marketplace Drive, <br />the construction of storm sewer and a storm water treatment facility, sanitary sewer, and <br />watermain. Refer to the proposed improvements exhibit located in the Appendix. <br />A long term goal of the City has been to realign 77th Street, providing a 4 -way traffic signal at <br />the intersection of Lake Drive, 77th Street, and Marketplace Drive. The realignment of 77th <br />Street will increase safety and provide improved access to Lino Lakes Market Place and other <br />commercial and residential developments in the area. <br />The total estimated project cost is $338,900.00 which includes demolition of a house (Parcel <br />ID# 8- 31 -22 -43 -0001) a 10% contingency and 25% indirect costs. The estimated project costs <br />do not include costs associated with right -of -way acquisition, property acquisition, residential <br />relocation, or residential severances. However, the City of Lino Lakes has provided estimated <br />costs for these items, which are cited within the Report, to assist the City in the overall financing <br />for the roadway realignment project. The project is proposed to be funded through City funds. <br />The project is necessary, cost - effective, and feasible and will result in an increase of safety and <br />provide improved access to Lino Lakes Market Place and other commercial and residential <br />developments in the area. <br />Feasibility Report 1 13849.006 <br />City of Lino Lakes, Minnesota <br />
