STEWARDSHIP PLAN <br />Anoka County Parks and Recreation is a natural resource based park and trail system. <br />Therefore, natural resource management and stewardship is an integral element <br />included in the Anoka County Regional Trail System and this master plan. Natural <br />resource management and stewardship for trail corridors is vital in maintaining the trail <br />corridor's aesthetics and identity. To do this, Anoka Cou .shall provide for: <br />• The protection, restoration and enhanceme"lant and animal habitats <br />throughout the corridor; _;, <br />• Protection and improvement of water ar4soil resource <br />• An increased public awareness /educe of the diverse n al resources; and <br />Encouragement of green and operts aces along the trail Corr where possible <br />• to enhance the recreational bene€o the co tvnity. <br />The areas adjacent to the corridor include par ` <e idential housing, agricultural fields, <br />pastures, commercial districts tl some light indu, I uses.
