MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY — OFFICE OF JUSTICE PROGRAMS been completed, the grant is considered fully executed. It then becomes a legally binding agreement between the funded organization and OJP. At that time, the grantee will receive a final signed copy of the grant agreement. NOTE: This is a cost reimbursement grant and grantees will only be paid for eligible expenses that are incurred on or after January 1, 2008 and are consistent with the negotiated budget. APPLICATION TIMELINES The projected timeline to review applications and award state funds for 2008: July 30, 2007 August 8, 2007 September 12, 2007 Sept. 17 — Oct 5, 2007 October 18, 2007 October 22, 2007 October 25, 2007 November 1 - 30, 2007 RFP issued Application Workshop (Optional - see website for add'I details) Applications due to OJP (postmark or delivery date) Application review Recommendations made by Gang and Drug Oversight Council Grants approved by the Commissioner of Public Safety Applicants notified of award decisions Grant agreements completed by OJP and mailed to grantees. Officer nomination forms due to the strike force advisory boards. January 1,2008 Grant period begins. Signed Joint Powers Agreements due. APPLICATION SUBMISSION An original application, 10 copies and an application on CD -ROM or floppy disk must be postmarked no later than Wednesday, September 12, 2007. Delivered applications must be received by 4:30 on that same date. FAXED, emailed or late applications will not be accepted. Please staple each copy, but do not include a binder or cover.
