WS — Item 7. <br />WORK SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />Work Session Item 7. <br />Date: December 3, 2007 <br />To: City Council <br />From: James E. Studenski, City Engineer <br />Re: West Oaks — Petition to Pursue the Extension of Sewer and Water <br />Background <br />A petition to pursue the extension of sanitary sewer and water was submitted by the <br />residents of West Oaks subdivision in the south east corner of the City as shown on the <br />attached map. The petition received October 25, 2007 by the City and received by the <br />City Council at the Noveber 26th Council meeting. The petition contains 30 signatures <br />from 28 properties. All signatures have been verified by the City Clerk. The properties <br />on the petition represent 47% or 28 of the 59 single family residential lots in the West <br />Oaks Subdivision. <br />At the November 5th work session the City Council directed staff to provide more <br />information to the residents and receive feedback from the residents. Attached is the <br />draft of a detailed letter and resident questionnaire. This letter will be sent to all the <br />properties that where included in the design of the White Bear Township low pressure <br />sanitary sewer and watermain system as shown in orange on the attached map. <br />Requested Council Direction <br />Staff is requesting feedback from the City Council regarding the attached letter and <br />resident questionnaire. <br />1 <br />
