05 -07 -07 <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />• <br />LOGISTICS SECTION <br />EMERGENCY OPERATIONS PLAN <br />REVISION: 1 <br />I. PURPOSE <br />The Logistics Section will be responsible for locating, organizing, and providing facilities for <br />vital support services such as transportation, fuel, power, communications, supplies, etc. This <br />section will work closely with the Finance Section to ensure all purchases are authorized and <br />are within the City of Lino Lakes' Emergency Plan. <br />II. RESPONSIBILITIES <br />A. The primary Congregate Care needs of disaster victims and responders including <br />emergency sheltering, registration, and feeding of victims will be coordinated through <br />the American Red Cross and Salvation Army. A supporting agency for this effort will <br />be Anoka County Social Services. <br />B. Emergency Counseling for both victims and responders to a disaster will be <br />coordinated through the American Red Cross, Chaplain Corps, and Anoka County <br />Mental Health Services Department, Anoka County Public Safety Peer Counseling <br />(CISD) <br />C. Public Health Care needs of disaster victims will be coordinated through the Anoka <br />County Public Health Services Department. This agency will coordinate and help staff <br />mass care facilities to ensure health safety standards are met. <br />D. Purchasing of Materials and Supplies will be coordinated by staff members of <br />various departments at the City of Lino Lakes, depending on the nature of the items <br />needed. They will also be responsible for coordinating, housing, and distributing <br />donated supplies. <br />E. Sheltering of Animals will be coordinated through the Otter Lake Animal Care Center <br />who have the capability to shelter and care for animals. Many people requiring <br />congregate care may have pets with them and these agencies would be able to make <br />arrangements to provide adequate care and shelter for these pets until their owners are <br />able to resume caring for them. Refer to the City of Lino Lakes Resource Manual for <br />contact information. <br />F. Volunteer registration, assignment, and relief will be coordinated by staff members of <br />various departments at the City of Lino Lakes. <br />53 <br />
