• EOC Logistics <br />• <br />Logistics Section Checklist: <br />Congregate Care/ Volunteers /Purchasing & Supplies <br />Immediate Concerns <br />❑ Report to the EOC <br />❑ Obtain an initial briefing from Incident Command. Prepare an initial report to the Emergency <br />Manager. <br />❑ Assess if a 24hr /day and/or extended operation is needed. Make staffing assessments, consider <br />mutual aid. <br />❑ Review Emergency Plan as necessary <br />❑ Use all city resources including personnel, equipment and supplies before requesting <br />assistance. Make specific requests to EM. <br />❑ Coordinate supply purchasing efforts with the EOC Finance Section <br />❑ Notify American Red Cross and Salvation Army to assist with mass care needs. <br />❑ Notify Volunteers and coordinate response plans with Incident Command <br />❑ If immediate evacuation or sheltering is necessary: <br />- Coordinate opening of shelters with the Red Cross, They are in control of <br />shelter agreements. <br />- Have PIO get shelter information out to the media along with evacuation <br />routes. <br />- Assess if transportation is necessary to get victims to shelters. <br />Coordinate transportation plan if necessary. <br />- Assess Red Cross's need for help with shelters. <br />Ongoing Concerns <br />❑ Monitor the effectiveness of the mass care effort. Are more resources needed? Consult with <br />Red Cross representative regarding anticipated needs. <br />❑ Does Red Cross need help with disaster welfare inquiries from relatives and friends of victims? <br />56 <br />
