• <br />• <br />• <br />AGENDA ITEM 3 C <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Daniel Tesch, Director of Administration <br />MEETING DATE: 25 January 2010 <br />TOPIC: City of Lino Lakes and L.E.L.S 260 <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />BACKGROUND <br />The collective bargaining agreement between the City and L.E.L.S (Sergeants) expires <br />31 December 2010. The City asked to reopen the existing agreement and discuss <br />options that would assist the city deal with LGA unallotments. L.E.L.S has agreed to <br />forgo their 3% Cost of Living increase until the first day of the last pay period of 2010. <br />The MOU also allows for an increase in the maximum number of compensatory time <br />hours from 40 to 60 per year and a carryover increase of 20 to 40 hours. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve the attached draft Memorandum of Understanding. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Memorandum of Understanding. <br />
