The calls for service data was obtained from their
respective personnel. The data for Hugo has been requested from their city staff as well
as from personnel with the Washington County Sheriff's Office, but was not yet available
when this report was produced.
The statistics utilized in the UCR are based upon crime information reported to the state
from the policing agencies. The city specific UCR statistics regarding Hugo are not
reported independently by the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
Information regarding Shoreview that is reported in the UCR appears to be incomplete.
The reporting of the information specific to a contract city, such as Shoreview is
combined with the overall numbers reported with the county agency. We have found that
this is a common mode of reporting by metropolitan area sheriffs offices (Anoka County
Sheriff s Office no longer independently reports contract city statistics to the state as of
the 2007 reporting period.)
